2008 JF "C" Championship Round 2

Lusmagh 6-09 ...... Ballyskenagh 1-02

Hit by a number of exam-tied and other absentees, Ballyskenagh's performance in their second round game of the Junior Football C Championship failed to improve on the first round and they suffered a heavy defeat in Lusmagh on Friday 9th May.

Lusmagh scored 2-08 in the first half, the goals coming in the 23rd and 28th minutes, while Skenagh registered a single point from a Shane Carroll free.

Any hopes of a second half revival were quickly dashed as Lusmagh slotted home no less than three goals and a point in the first ten minutes. Their fifth goal, their final score of the match, came at the half way point. An Ollie Ryan point in the 20th minute was Skenagh's only score from play and Alan Franks raised the green flag from a well taken penalty in the closing minutes to leave the final score at 6-09 to 1-02.
