2006 Junior B Hurling championship Round 2

Lusmagh 3-07 ...... Ballyskenagh 1-04

Ballyskenagh's junior b championship hopes suffered a setback with a nine point loss to Lusmagh in Lusmagh on Friday 9th June.

In the opening half Lusmagh were very much on top of a very unsettled Skenagh side and when they scored their second goal in the 18th minute, they were 2-4 to 0-0 ahead. In the 20th minute Aidan Franks sent a free goalwards and John Kirwan finished it off to put the score at 2-5 to 1-0. Lusmagh added two further points before the break, with Tom O'Toole putting one over for Skenagh. Half time score 2-7 to 1-1.

A more determined second half performance saw Skenagh hold Lumsagh to a single score - a goal in the 12th minute, while they increased their own tally by three, courtesy of Aidan Franks (twice) and Colm Franks. The second half was a much improved performance, but unfortunately the damage had been done and Skenagh failed to close the gap, leaving Lusmagh winners by 3-7 to 1-4.
