Ballyskenagh 4-8....... Kinnitty 2-9

Ballyskenagh captured full points from their first game in the Division 2A league with a home victory over Kinnitty on Tuesday 12th April.

With twenty minutes gone in the first half, Kinnitty had a five point advantage at 1-5 to 0-3, when Shane Carroll found the top corner from a long way out to bring Skenagh right back in touch. Kinnitty added three more points before the break and went in with a 1-8 to 1-3 advantage.

Ballyskenagh moved up a gear in the second half and an Anthony Middleton goal at the half way point levelled the scores at 2-5 to 1-8. Indeed Ballyskenagh went on to add a further 2-2 before Kinnitty got their first score of the second half - a point in the 27th minute. Kinnitty then quickly added a goal and piled on the pressure for the remaining few minutes, but Skenagh added one more point, courtesy of Tadhg Maher, to end up deserving winners on a 4-8 to 2-9 scoreline.
