2006 Div 2 (Senior) League Round 1

Ballyskenagh 0-13 ....... Seir Kieran 0-10

Ballyskenagh's 2006 league campaign got off to a good start when they got the upper hand on Seir Kieran in Ballyskenagh on Sunday 12th March. Playing in very difficult conditions on a heavy, slippery pitch, Ballyskenagh had a 10 point to 0-6 lead at half time.

Midway through the second half, the gap was still four points, at 12 to 8, but two Seir Kieran points brought the gap to just two and there was all to play for in the last ten minutes. Both sides upped the ante and the tension was high, but an Eoghan Franks point from a free in the 26th minute was to be the final score of the game, to leave the final score at 0-13 to 10 in favour of Ballyskenagh.
