Ballyskenagh 3-5 …… Erins Own 2-18

With a semi-final place at stake, ‘Skenagh travelled to Castlecomer on the 10th May to play Erins Own in the Leinster League. Goals from David Carney (within the first two minutes) and Brian Keeshan (17 minutes), ensured the sides were level at half time at 2-3 to 0-9.

With eight minutes gone in the second half, Erin’s Own were ahead by 1-12 to 2-3 . A David Carney goal in the 12th minute hauled ‘Skenagh back into contention and with twenty minutes gone, just two points separated the sides, 1-12 to 3-4 .
