Ballyskenagh 1-11 ....... Kilcotton 2-8
Ballyskenagh's first game in the inaugural Leinster Club League was a home tie against Laois neighbours, Kilcotton, on Tuesday 13th April. 'Skenagh opened the scores with an Aidan Franks point and a low-scoring half saw the sides level at half time with four points each.
Eleven minutes into the second half, Kilcotton took the lead with a goal, at 1-5 to 0-6, but the next five scores came from 'Skenagh and with twenty three minutes gone on the clock, the score read Kilcotton 1-5 to 0-11. 'Skenagh looked to be getting on top, but in the 25th minute Kilcotton took a free which hit the crossbar and they found the back of the net from the rebound, to level the sides once again. Kilcotton then took the lead and with just three minutes remaining were in front by 2-7 to 0-11. 'Skenagh looked like they might be in trouble, but a Tom O'Toole goal in the 28th minute restored the narrowest of leads before a Kilcotton point in the final minute left the result a draw at 2-8 to 1-11.
