Quarter Final
Ballyskenach 2-5 ...... Brosna Gaels 2-8
As both Daingean and Ballinamere withdrew from the Junior B championship, Ballyskenach qualifed for the quarter final by virtue of their win over Shinrone. The match was played in Kilcormac on the 29th July and there was little between the sides in the opening twenty minutes, the widest gap occuring in the 24th minute when a Brosna Gael's goal opened up a 1-4 to 0-2 gap in their favour. However, the gap was closed again almost immediately when an Alan Franks point was followed moment later by a Darryl Carney goal. Brosna Gaels added another point before the break, to leave the half time score 1-5 to 1-3.
Brosna Gaels dominated the opening ten minutes of the second half, adding 1-2 to their half time tally and it was mid-way through the half before Tadhg Maher secured 'Skenach's first score of the half at 1-4 to 2-6. A tough battle ensued for the remaining quarter, but 'Skenach failed to get the vital scores. A last minute burst saw Tadhg Maher rattle the net to put just three between the side, but time ran out and Brosna Gaels were worthy winners at 2-8 to 2-5.
