Ballyskenach 1-10 ....... Seir Kieran 4-10
On Sunday, 22nd October, Ballyskenach played Seir Kieran in their latest championship match at Shinrone on a very wet and windy morning. The hurling was always going to be tough with the conditions, however Clareen who played with the wind in the first half got off to the best start striking over some early points before Ballyskenach could even get on the scoresheet. Really there wasn’t much between the teams, except Clareen were able to score goals and had a cushion of several points as well. Ballyskenach played well and one would wonder if we hadn’t so many crucial players ruled out through injury, the day might have gone Skenach’s way.
The seniors next outing is against St. Rynagh’s and hopefully we can beat them a second time round. The final score was Ballyskenach 1-10 to Clareen 4-10.
