Ballyskenach 2-9 ....... Drumcullen 2-4
The past week was a very successful one for the club with the U-12's, U-14's and Junior A team recording fine victories in the Offaly championships and in so doing put themselves in line for the playoffs later on.
The boys U-14 had a home venue against Drumcullen on Wednesday night last and made full use of this with a fine win. The full time score was Ballyskenach 2-9, Drumcullen 2-4. Outstanding players in the game were B. Franks, M. O'Hara, D. Franks, B.Murphy, D. Carney and M. Hayes.
Once again all the team members played their parts and the team that did duty was as follows: B. Franks, S. Carroll, M. O'Hara, E. Maher, D.McLoughlin, D. Franks, J. Touhy, Barry Keeshan, Brian Keeshan, A. Stapleton, D. Carney, B.Murphy, P. McLouglin, M. Hayes, Paul McLoughlin.
Ballyskenach 7-3 ....... Kinnitty 2-5
On Saturday the boys U-12 team made it three wins on the trot in their section of the championship after a hard fought game with Kinnitty. This was a game of two halves with Kinnitty dominating the exchange in the first half and unlucky not to be further ahead than 2-4 to no score.
The second half however was all one traffic towards the Kinnitty goal, with Ballyskenach scoring 7-3 to 0-1 for Kinnitty. Martin Hayes led the team to victory with some very skilful forward play and accounted for four of the goals. C. Boyce also improved in his new position and registered 2-1 which Padraig McLoughlin 1-0 and D. Carney 0-2 completed the scoring.

This team is now pretty certain of taking part in the playoff so a full attendance for training is now more necessary than ever to get the boys into shape for the harder matches ahead.
