The Junior A team bowed out of the Championship on Saturday evening last when they were beaten by Gracefield by 5-6 to 2-7.
Leading at half time by 2-3 to 0-5, Graceland pulled further ahead in the second half and were leading by 7 points (3-4 to 0- 6) when a Liam O'Toole goal brought Ballyskenach back into the game.
Just a few minutes later John Dooley sent a free to the back of the net, to bring the gap back to a single point, but hopes of a turn-around were short lived as less than a minute later Gracefield got through for another goal. Gracefield added two further points and a goal just at full time, while Ballyskenach scored just one point and so made their exit from the Championship.
